Empowering First Nation Entrepreneurs through STEM

Saltwater Country, in partnership with Make It Happen HQ and other collaborators, is launching the “Empowering First Nation Entrepreneurs through STEM” initiative aimed at enhancing the skills, employability, and representation of Western Australian First Nation entrepreneurs in the STEM fields by offering specialized programs in esports gaming, podcasting, animation, VR, and Virtual Assistant development. This project, impacting 150 First Nation individuals across various age groups, not only focuses on skills enhancement and global exposure but also strives for long-term sustainability through collaborations, a significant social media outreach campaign, and leveraging existing successful models, with initial funding secured at $20,000 of a $100,000 goal to foster a blend of Indigenous traditions with STEM education.
